After eight years as Chief Impact Officer at XPRIZE and XPRIZE Foundation, Zenia lead impact maps, and foresight practices, launching in seven new countries across three continents. She designed over 25 different innovation challenges to give cause for the development of moonshot technologies in energy, CO2 removal, and water abundance.

Zenia Tata has had enormous independent success; she recently led innovation projects for Breakthrough Victoria, a $2 billion impact investment fund for the Prime Minister’s Office of Australia. She has also implemented an affordable and sustainable housing project for Emaar Properties, and a variety of sustainability-related projects for BCG.
She has worked as an Executive Director for The Link, and International Development Enterprises (IDE) USA, provided unique, innovation-centered practical approaches to business planning and strategy for a range of companies. Whilst working for IDEA, she helped lift 24 million farm families out of the cycle of poverty. Another particular successful project was her groundbreaking design of the $100 million Carbon Removal prize funded by Elon Musk.
Particular topics of concern that she has dealt with include age-reversal, alternate proteins, carbon dioxide removal, desalination, environmental conservation, global food systems, housing, human longevity, hydrogen energy, water abundance, and zero-waste mining.
Over her 25 years’ experience, Zenia has often featured in publications such as Wired magazines, and on news outlets such as the BBC. In 2015, she gave a TEDxGateway talk entitle ‘What Do You Prize’, which has since had over 11,000 views.
