Semra Hunter is a multi-lingual sports presenter and broadcaster who has reported from around the world.
She began her career in 2013 reporting for Al-Jazeera Sport and Spain’s BeIN SPORTS. She has since worked for Real Madrid TV, TRT World, LaLiga TV, DAZN, and Sky Sports.
Her experience has seen her become one of the most popular additions to corporate events providing presenting duties, hosting functions, and as an interviewer.
Semra Hunter’s love for sport started when she was just three years old, picking up a football and never looking back. She participated in a range of sports when she was younger, even becoming a Junior Olympic Volleyball Champion.
After leaving Al-Jazeer Sport, she joined Real Madrid TV where she presented in both English and Spanish, hosting some of the most popular shows, including The Match, Extra Time, and Real Madrid Live. After living in Spain for eight years, Semra moved to Istanbul, Turkey, and began working as a sports anchor and correspondent for TRT World, covering the 2016 Euro Championship, Champions League games, preparation for the 2022 World Cup, and the Euroleage Final Four. However, after just two years she found herself back in Spain for personal reasons, and so rejoined TRT as a pitch-side reporter for the Champions League.
Moving once more to Barcelona, Semra hosted eFootballPro’s PES League World Tour in 2018, before joining LaLiga TV and becoming the lead presenter on their weekend coverage. As well as working for Spanish channels, she heads ITV’s studio coverage, presenting pre-match, half-time, and post-match shows alongside football legends and journalists.
Her years of experience has made her a respected interviewer, having sat down with managers Xavi Hernandez, Fabio Capello, and Claude Makélélé, swimmer Michael Phelps, runner Usain Bolt, footballers Carles Puyol, Marc- André ter Stegen, Luís Figo, Toni Kroos, Martin Ødegaard, Marc Bartra, and Ivan Rakitić.
Semra has become one of the most popular and sought-after live event hosts.
