With a soft Scottish accent and over a decade of full time employment as a live television host on various UK and USA based channels, Ali has an infectious personality, with a natural and engaging presenting style.
She stared her career when she was just 14 years old and went on to star in BBC’s UKOOL, dance on Top of the Pops, sang on Spirit of Youth and BBC Radio Scotland, became the official Edinburgh Fringe Festival advert poster girl, performed at the UK premier of The Hot Mikado, and toured the UK in West Side Story.
She was offered a scholarship onto the prestigious Musical Theatre Course at the Dance School of Scotland, and the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts Diploma Course in London.

Ali Defoy has hosted all varieties of shows, from MMA and UFC to celebrity launches, including BeauBronz with OK Magazine. She has performed for The Princes Trust, modelled on QVC, presented for Rocks & Co, an welcomed the Malaysian King and Queen, and shoe designer Jimmy Choo to Harrods.
Experienced in hosting live events, awards nights and judging talent shows, she is also a professional actress, dancer and singer, undertaking her broadcast journalist Diploma specialising in sports with the NCTJ.

She has hosted a range of charity events in the UK, from Youth Speaks and Youth Celebrates to Young Enterprise; she’s completely a 30-day Bikram Yoga challenge, and hosted the Shakespeare Marathon.
Ali’s passion and commitment for her profession drives her to learn and excel in new skills required for any given role, such as accomplishing an Accredited Jewellery Professional qualification with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), to underline her credibility with her audience and is currently undertaking her Diploma in Journalism with the NCTJ, specialising in sport for her presenting role at The 146th Open at Royal Birkdale.
Having trained as a professional actress, Ali’s has been seen on DAVE, BBC Scotland and currently plays Kim in SmarTrike commercials in the USA. She has performed in musicals including Rent, Carousel, Sweet Charity, and in the Barbican Christmas Carol concert.
