Known for her appearances on the popular Channel 4 programme Gogglebox, the Reverend Kate Bottley is passionate about bringing stories of faith and belief to the widest audience possible.
Although not raised in a religious family, Kate admitted that she started going to church because she fancied the local vicar’s son. They have been married since 1998 and have two children.
Rev’d Kate Bottley got the invitation to join the BAFTA and National Television Award-winning series Gogglebox in 2012, after a dance she performed as part of a wedding flashmob went viral with more than 7 million hits on YouTube.
In 2016, Kate presented the BBC One Easter documentary In the Footsteps of Judas. She is also a frequent guest on the Chris Evans’ Radio 2 Breakfast Show’s Pause for Thought feature and has contributed to The Guardian, The Independent and Radio Times.
Currently, Kate is taking hiatus from full-time parish ministry to dedicate more time to her writing and broadcasting projects.
